| |
Visha School of Dance was inaugurated in 1984. Currently there are 300 students taking classes and have already staged cultural dances shows, Anjana Rekha in 1997, Thriveni in 2001 and 2004. Also the Visha School of Dance has been able to stage cultural dancing shows depicting folk and traditional dancing in Malaysia , India , Taiwan , Japan and Korea . The students also took part in state ballet festival in 1998 and year 2001. They have been guided to pass with excellence at the National Dancing Examination conducted by the department of Education in Sri Lanka , while they have also taken part in modern dancing which is a mix of traditional dancing and ballet. A batch of 15 students from various branches Ryan International school had a Cultural Exchange programme with the Visha School of Dance.
They got to learn and see various Folk and Classical Dances from Sri Lanka . Indian students presented a ballet " Colors Of India " with various folk dances from India . Mr. Utkarsh Marwah and Mrs. Alice Vaz accompanied the group. |
