| The World Festival of Children's Theatre was held for the first time in Lingen ( Ems ), Germany in 1990. This unique event which is the largest theatre festival of the world by children and for children has been organized from that time in co-operation with the International Amateur Theatre Association IATA/AITA in various cities of the world -1992 in Antalya/Turkey, 1996 in Copenhagen/Denmark, 2000 in Toyama/Japan and in 2004 in Havana/Cuba. It returns every four years to its birth-place Lingen ( Ems )/ Germany . The World Festival of Children's Theatre was the "Official German Contribution to the International Year of the United Nations |

| 2001 - The theme of the festival was Dialogue among Civilizations". Which was organized especially to encourage dialogue between young people from different cultures and therefore contributed to a greater international understanding of people, their nations and cultures.
Ryan International School was the official Indian entry to the 9th World Festival of Children's Theatre that took place from 14th to 22 nd July, 2006 in Lingen ( Ems ). The festival had performances from 25 countries. Young Ryanites enthusiastically performed and participated in various cultural exchanges events and workshops |
