The aim of the Festival is to promote mutual cultural exchange and friendship through various kinds of performances, seminars and workshops for children, organized through close partnership of children and adults.

Six hundred people from sixteen countries of the five continents of the world and ten Japanese groups and many children of Toyama participated in the Festival under the banner 'We Build The Future.'
 
 
The event took place from 31 st July to 5 th August 2008 and this First World Festival of Children's Performing Arts - for children, by children and adults - also included performances, seminars and workshops. There was also a Forum of Performing Arts for the disabled, and an Asian Amateur Theatre Summit for the cause of international understanding and mutual friendship will be promoted further.Ryan International Schools, Delhi represented India with a multifaceted and meaningful Folklore production. It was well appreciated by the audience, as it touched the hearts of all the spectators from across the globe.
