International Children's Festival of Performing Arts

Utkarsh Marwah graduated in English literature from Hindu College and pursue short-term coursein Theatre Pedagogy from the Osnabruck University of Applied Sciences, Germany. He started as an actor with Umang Children's Theatre and later under the able guidance of his guru Mrs. Rekha Jain he pursued his work in children's theatre. At the age of 15, he entered the Limca Book of Records as the Youngest Theatre Director in India. He has attended various workshop conducted by National School of Drama (TIE), Sahitya Kala Parishad, Jamia Milia Islamia and Else Theatre Fellow.

He started his career with The Times of India (NIE) as a theatre consultant and conducted workshops on creative development, story telling, theatre in education in more than 200 schools in Delhi and NCR. His children's Film, "CHIKKI-Dream of a Child" was screened at 27th NHK Japan Prize contest 2000, since then he has produced various short films with children. 

Since year 2000 he is working as a Cultural and Creative Director with Ryan Foundation. He has traveled with his directorial venture to various performing arts festival, the list as follows:

  • 9th world Children's Theatre Festival in Lingen, 2006. Germany
  • Performance for the Indian Embassy in Berlin, 2006, Germany

  • La-Luna Youth Arts Festival, Australia , December 2006
  • 10 th World Festival of Children's Theatre, Moscow, July 2008
  • The World Festival of Children's Performing Arts, Toyama, Japan, August 2008
  • International Culture Art and Performance Festival, Istanbul, Turkey, May 2009
  • Performed in Voices for a Better World, the first performance of the World Children's, London, September 2010

He is the festival director for International Children's Festival of Performing Arts, India.This year more than 25 countries and 10000 children will participate in this festival.p
